Red Pepper Wine Jelly is distinctive in taste and delicate in texture. Chili peppers and Red Bell peppers originated in South America with seeds of a wild variety dating back to 5000 BC. Like many other foods native to North America, sweet peppers were carried throughout the world by the Spanish and Portuguese explorers.
Bell peppers also known as sweet peppers are red and plump with a bell shape almost like a Christmas ornament. The vibrant red pepper is slightly watery and crunchy in texture.
The blend of this sweet red pepper with the hot chili pepper and wine brings a hot, sweet, savoury, flavour to your palate.
A perfect condiment when paired with Brie spread on your favourite cracker.

Pomegranate Jelly is symbolic of a beautiful jewel with its deep red pips almost resembling a garnet stone. This fruit is native from Iran to the Himalayas in northern India and was cultivated and naturalized over the whole Mediterranean region since ancient times. It is widely cultivated throughout India and the drier parts of Southeast Asia, Malaya, the East Indies and tropical Africa. The tree was introduced into California by Spanish settlers in 1769. In North America it is grown for its fruits mainly in the drier parts of California and Arizona.
Rich in antioxidants and flavour this jelly offers an extraordinary addition to your variety of preserves.
For the discriminating palate this citrus like flavour of pomegranate is delightful when served on toast or as a glaze on meats.
Use your Simply Awesome Pomegranate Jelly as a refreshing sauce on Vanilla Ice Cream.

The name "cranberry" derives from the Pilgrim name for the fruit, "craneberry", so called because the small, pink blossoms that appear in the spring resemble the head and bill of a Sandhill crane. European settlers adopted the Native American uses for the fruit and found the berry a valuable bartering tool. Though cranberries are tiny, they are potent. Packed with nutrition, they are high in vitamin C and in fiber.
The versatility of the cranberry fruit with its pleasant tartness gleams like ruby-coloured jewels on holiday tables to provide us with a visual pleaser and a dose of nutrition as well.
This family favourite is simply the best. A sweet, tart delicious sauce or relish is commonly used at Thanksgiving Holiday and in the Christmas Season and eaten in conjunction with Turkey.

Seville Orange Marmalade is a must for your toast at Breakfast, wouldn't you say? "Bitter oranges" originated in the northeast of India and neighbouring areas of China and Southeast Asia. During the first centuries of their empire, the Romans took a great interest in the fruit; however, as their domination of Europe ended, so did the cultivation of oranges. By this time, Arabs had established both themselves and the bitter orange in Spain.
The sharp, intense flavour of Seville Oranges are conquered with the sweetness of the sugar to produce a refreshingly clear jelly around shreds of bitter peel. Marmalade aside, the tart juice of the Seville orange can also be used to create tangy salad dressings and fabulous sauces to cut through the richness of meat and game. The classic French bigarade is a delicious example: a dark, port-enriched, orange-flavoured sauce that is traditionally served with roast duck and for which dessert oranges would prove far too sweet.
